Verse of the Day: John 14:16 NKJV
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever”
There are moments in life when even the most comforting promises of Scripture seem out of reach. We know the truth, but it feels distant—like a thirsty soul too faint to crawl to the refreshing waters. In times of deep distress, it’s not enough just to know that help exists; we need a personal touch to bring us to the healing we need.
We often need God’s Spirit to carry us to the comfort found in Christ. The Holy Spirit, described as the "Comforter," takes the truth of God’s Word and writes it on our hearts, dispelling our fears and lifting our burdens. Jesus doesn’t just offer His promises and leave us to fend for ourselves. He brings the healing right to us. This is the beauty of the gospel: God meets us in our helplessness. The glory is not just in the gift of His promises, but in His presence that delivers them right to us.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for not only giving us Your promises but also for sending Your Spirit to bring them alive in our hearts. When we are too weak to reach for Your Word, come near and carry us in our need. Pour out Your peace and grace upon us, and remind us that You are ever-present, wiping away our tears and easing our burdens.
