Unwavering Trust in God

Writer's picture: GOF MinistryGOF Ministry

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 26:4 NKJV

“Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”

Given that we have such a faithful and trustworthy God, let's place our full confidence in Him, letting go of any doubts or fears that steal our peace. There’s no reason to fear when God is the solid foundation of our trust. Just as a loving parent would be deeply hurt if their child doubted them, how much more must it grieve our heavenly Father when we struggle to trust Him, even though He has never failed us and never will.

If only we could rid ourselves of doubt entirely! Sadly, unbelief still lingers in our day. Instead of allowing doubts to take root in our hearts, we should be determined to rid ourselves of them completely, just as Elijah dealt with the prophets of Baal. And to wash away these doubts, we should turn to the life-giving stream that flows from the wounds of our Saviour. In all the trials we’ve faced, we have always found God to be more than enough for our every need.

Let us be encouraged to trust in the Lord continually, confident that His everlasting strength will continue to be our support and refuge, just as it has always been.

Reflection

Take a moment to reflect on the following verses:

Psalm 62:8; Psalms 55:22; Proverbs 3:5-6

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Help us to trust in You completely, casting aside every doubt and fear. Strengthen our faith so that we may rest in Your promises, knowing that You are always faithful and true.
