Unshakable Love for Christ

Verse of the Day: Song of Solomon 1:4 NKJV

“Take me away with you! Let’s run off together! An elopement with my King-Lover! We’ll celebrate, we’ll sing, we’ll make great music. Yes! For your love is better than vintage wine. Everyone loves you—of course! And why not?”

As believers, our love for Jesus runs deeper than any affection we could have for another. We would rather lose all earthly relationships and comforts than be separated from Him. Earthly possessions and ties are held loosely, but Christ is kept securely in our hearts. We willingly give up much for His sake, yet nothing can force us to deny Him. A true believer’s love is unbreakable, even in the face of persecution. No amount of pressure or temptation can sever the bond between Christ and His faithful followers. This love is not just a fleeting attachment but an eternal bond that no power on earth or in hell can break.

Though our love may seem small in comparison to what Christ deserves, it is the depth of our longing and intention that truly reflects its intensity. We yearn for hearts that could hold more love for Him. While our love may feel like a mere drop in the ocean, we trust that God measures it by our intentions and our deep desire to love Him more.
