Verse of the Day: James 1:2-3 NKJV
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”
We often find out that students who are excited about tests or exams are those who are confident in their knowledge of the course. Our knowledge of God will help us see the importance of trials and tribulations in a Christian’s journey. This understanding helps us to rejoice while we are being tested.
The message of rejoicing while going through test is clearly stated and emphasised in the Scriptures. Jesus encouraged those who are persecuted to rejoice and be exceedingly glad. Also, He reassured His disciples that despite the trials they would face, they could find joy in His victory. Paul spoke to the Romans about rejoicing in tribulation; seeing trials as a pathway to growth and deeper faith. Peter in his epistle said you shouldn’t consider it a strange thing when you go through fiery trial, he also encouraged the brethren to rejoice.
The test of your faith is not a punishment, curse or calamity. It is an opportunity to demonstrate and deepen your faith
