Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:16 NKJV
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
The gospel, the message of Christ, isn't just something we hear—it’s something meant to live within us, guiding every aspect of our lives. It’s not enough for the Word to simply be something we know about; it needs to take up residence in our hearts, shaping our thoughts, actions, and decisions. Just as a master provides for the household, the Word should be our source of strength, guidance, and comfort in every situation.
The Word must dwell in us richly, not sparsely or weakly. It should be a powerful presence, influencing our daily lives and decisions. And this dwelling should be in all wisdom. The purpose of wisdom is to help us apply what we know in a practical way, directing our lives according to God’s will. The Word shouldn’t just make us knowledgeable—it should make us wise, helping us live in a way that reflects the character of Christ in everything we do.
Are you allowing the Word of God to actively influence your daily life? Are you allowing it to guide your decisions and fill you with wisdom?
