Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:16 NKJV
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
When the Word of Christ truly resides within us, it is not as a temporary guest or a fleeting visitor. Instead, it takes up permanent residence, shaping our thoughts, guiding our actions, and transforming our hearts. This indwelling isn't just about reading or hearing the Word occasionally, but about embracing it deeply and continuously. It becomes a part of who we are, rooted in our hearts and minds, influencing every aspect of our lives.
This ongoing relationship with the Word results in a growing spiritual understanding and a heartfelt affection for the truth of the Gospel. It becomes our joy, our counsellor, and our most treasured possession. As we allow the Word of Christ to dwell in us richly, it shapes our character and aligns our lives with the will of God, leading us into deeper communion with Him.
Consider your relationship with God’s Word. Is it something you encounter only occasionally, or has it taken up residence in your heart?
