Verse of the Day: Romans 12:11
”not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord”
Christianity is a vibrant lifestyle that ignites a fervent energy for service. This earnest desire and intense zeal to serve God are directly correlated with your walk with Him. The less you walk with God, the dimmer your zeal becomes. It is in Him that you find the strength and passion to serve.
Your journey in God, your pilgrimage, is a continual walk that begins and ends with Him (Revelation 1:8). To reach the end of your pilgrimage with fervency intact, you must consistently walk in step with God. This walk is not just a physical one; it is a spiritual journey that requires you to maintain a Spirit-filled life.
One key manifestation of a Spirit-filled Christian is their zeal for the Lord. Lukewarm Christianity, on the other hand, thrives in comfort and complacency, devoid of the fervency of the spirit. In such a state, serving God becomes subject to fleeting feelings, and individuals may find themselves unsure of where they truly stand in their allegiance to God.
Joshua, in addressing the children of Israel, highlighted the importance of choosing to serve the Lord with sincerity and wholehearted devotion. In the journey of your pilgrimage, may your heart burn with zeal for God, not out of obligation but out of a genuine desire to walk intimately with Him.
