Verse of the Day: Matthew 11:28 NKJV
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Does Christ still welcome us when we come to Him, despite all our past sins? Yes, He does. Even when we’ve searched for refuge in other places, He never turns us away or chastises us. No one on earth compares to Him—He is the most loving, the most gracious, and the most beautiful of all. Shouldn't we then praise Him with all our hearts? Let us lay down our pride and idols, lifting high the cross of Jesus, even though the world may mock it. Our souls should sit humbly at His feet, offering our devotion and tears in love and gratitude.
How precious is Christ! Why do we often forget Him, looking elsewhere for joy and comfort when He alone is full, rich, and satisfying? Let us resolve never to depart from Him again. Let us ask the Lord to bind us to Himself, as a bride adorned with jewels. May our souls find their eternal home in Him, just as the sparrow makes its nest in the altars of the Lord. There, in Christ, is our true rest and refuge. May we never wander from Him again, but always nestle close to His heart.
