Verse of the Day: Ephesians 1:13-14 NKJV
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
How incredible is the joy and peace found in truly knowing and relying on Jesus alone. Yet, in this life, our understanding of His grace is only partial. As the saying goes, "It's just a taste!" We have experienced that the Lord is good, but we still don't fully grasp the depth of His goodness. What little we have tasted of His love makes us yearn for more. We’ve been given the first fruits of the Spirit, which stir within us a deep hunger and thirst for the fullness of God's promises.
Just as the Israelites in the wilderness experienced only a foretaste of the Promised Land with a single cluster of grapes, we too are on the journey, longing for the day when we will enter into the fullness of God's kingdom. In this life, we only catch glimpses of heaven’s glory, like tasting the manna that fell in the desert. But one day, we will feast on the true bread of heaven, and our souls will be fully satisfied.
Though we know a little, we have so much more to learn. The joys of heaven, even after just a few moments there, will far surpass anything we can imagine on earth. While we still have unfulfilled desires and face trials here, we can look forward with hope. The time is coming when every tear will be wiped away, and we will behold the glory of Jesus face to face.
