Verse of the Day: Leviticus 19:36 NKJV
“You shall have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.”
In biblical times, weights, scales, and measures were required to be just and fair, reflecting God's standards of righteousness. As Christians, we must carry that same commitment to fairness in our daily lives. If justice were to vanish everywhere else, it should still thrive in the hearts of believers.
But beyond physical measures, we must examine the spiritual scales we use. Are we honest in how we weigh our own virtues versus those of others? Do we inflate our goodness while diminishing the goodness of others? Similarly, when we measure our burdens, do we exaggerate our sufferings while forgetting that even the apostle Paul called his afflictions "light"? Perhaps our scales are not as accurate as we think.
Let us also consider how we weigh doctrinal truths. Are we giving equal importance to both God's grace and His commands? Are we being fair in our contributions, responsibilities, and how we treat others, especially the poor and the vulnerable?
Tonight, let us take inventory. Are our spiritual scales aligned with God's standards of truth and fairness? Let us ensure they are, lest we find ourselves weighed and found lacking.
Reflection

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help us to live justly, weighing our actions and beliefs according to Your truth. Examine our hearts, that we may be fair and honest in all things. May our lives reflect Your righteousness in all that we do.
