Verse of the Day: Matthew 13:25 NKJV
“but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.”
Jesus clearly taught us about the reality of Satan, describing him as the enemy who sows harmful seeds in the world and in our lives. In His parable, Christ reveals that the devil is constantly working to plant weeds—sins, temptations, and distractions—among the good things God has sown. Just like seeds, small temptations can grow into much larger problems if left unchecked. We must be vigilant, aware that the enemy is always trying to undermine God's kingdom and our personal growth in holiness.
The seed we allow into our hearts shapes who we become. If we fill our minds with God’s truth, we will bear the fruit of His righteousness. But if we neglect our spiritual care or surround ourselves with harmful influences, we risk becoming like the tares—counterfeit in faith. This calls us to be intentional about what we read, the friendships we nurture, and the activities we engage in. Through the Holy Spirit, God offers protection against these seeds of corruption. As we draw near to Christ, He empowers us to resist temptation and live lives that reflect His truth and purity.

Heavenly Father, protect my heart from the seeds of temptation that the enemy seeks to plant. Help me to discern between what is good and what may cause me to stumble. Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may bear fruit worthy of Your kingdom.
