Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:13
”bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”
Forgiveness is a cornerstone of the Christian faith—a powerful demonstration of God's mercy and grace towards us. As followers of Christ, we are called to extend the same forgiveness to others that we have received from God.
The Bible provides us with a clear pattern for forgiveness: just as God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ, so we are to forgive others. Jesus Himself emphasised the importance of forgiveness, teaching that if we withhold forgiveness from others, we cannot expect to receive forgiveness from God.
There will always be a need for forgiveness anywhere there’s human interaction. We must be ready to repent whenever we are wrong and also willing to forgive those who offend us. The beauty of the Christian life lies in our ability to forgive others, even when it seems impossible.
Forgiveness is not always easy. It requires humility, grace, and a willingness to let go of past hurts and offences.
As we extend forgiveness to those who have wronged us, we release the burden of bitterness and resentment, allowing God's healing and restoration to flow freely in our hearts.
