Verse of the Day: 1 John 5:13-14 NKJV
“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Praying with faith requires understanding God’s will on the matter. This knowledge gives us confidence that God has heard us, even if it seems like nothing is changing around us. Our confidence in prayer stems from our belief in God and the assurance of eternal life through Him.
As believers, it’s essential to know His will. This knowledge, found in His Word, generates faith. We remain in faith when we wholeheartedly submit to God’s will. God has not promised to grant any request that goes against His will. Therefore, when we pray, we must seek to understand God’s mind on the matter to know how to present our requests to Him.
