Verse of the Day: Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them”
The process of being hardened in heart is a condition where a man gradually becomes unresponsive to God due to sin. Through Salvation by our Lord Jesus, we are reconciled to God and we undergo a profound transformation - from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh.
A heart of flesh is one that would respond to God in obedience to His word. In the Old Testament, God made promises of giving us a new heart. This is described in another way as circumcision of our heart - the removal of the hardness of our heart. As Christians, we have the capacity to obey God. We must therefore be intentional in renouncing the old heart and embracing the new heart which grows more tender by feeding on God’s word.
God’s law is now engraved upon your heart. Now is the time to obey. When you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.
