Call Upon God (2)

Verse of the Day: Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know”

In the book of Jeremiah, we encounter a profound moment where the prophet received a word from the Lord while he was imprisoned during the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem. Amidst the terror and imminent judgment, God extended an incredible invitation to Jeremiah and all who heard to call upon Him and He would answer.

This promise is remarkable given the dire circumstances. The people were facing the terror of a siege. Yet, in the midst of this chaos and fear, God spoke a word of hope, invitation, and faith. He called them to approach Him with faith-filled prayer, confident that He would answer.

God’s invitation to Jeremiah assures us that He is able to reveal what is mighty and inaccessible, things beyond our understanding. The revelations He promises are unsearchable and profound, opening our eyes to His divine plans and purposes.

Have you ever felt like you were in a situation as dire as Jeremiah’s, where hope seemed distant? Embrace God’s invitation to call upon Him.

Reflection

Take a moment to reflect on the following verses:

Isaiah 48:6; Psalm 25:14

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and the incredible invitation to call upon You in faith. In the midst of our trials and challenges, help us to trust in Your promises and seek Your unsearchable wisdom. Open our eyes to the great and mighty things You wish to reveal to us.
