An Invitation to Fellowship (4)

Writer's picture: GOF MinistryGOF Ministry

Verse of the Day: 1 John 1:5 NKJV

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

Our invitation to fellowship with God is rooted in His message about Himself. It is not based on human opinions or speculations about who God is. Man's limited understanding cannot draw us closer to God; instead, it often leads to confusion and discord.

Consider when Jesus asked His disciples who people said He was. Each response was based on human perceptions, which ultimately proved to be incorrect. The truth about God can only be found in His revelation of Himself.

In His message, God reveals His perfect nature—He is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. Light symbolises purity and perfection, and any notion that God may be flawed contradicts His divine nature. To truly believe in the Word of life, we must embrace the truth that He is perfect and true. There is no variableness in Him.

Let us not rely on our own flawed perceptions of God, but instead, let us trust in His revelation of Himself. As we anchor our faith in His truth, may we experience the joy and intimacy of fellowship with the one who is perfect in every way.

Reflection

Take a moment to reflect on the following verses:

John 1:9; James 1:17; Numbers 23:19; Matthew 16:13-20

Prayer

Father, Help us to trust in Your perfect nature and to embrace Your truth with unwavering faith. May our fellowship with You be deepened as we align our hearts with Your revelation. In Jesus' name
