Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God”
A key word that explains ambassadorship is allegiance. An ambassador must be devoted and loyal to his home country and leader. While on duty, he is not permitted to share his personal opinion; instead, he must receive briefings or consult with his home country to know what to say. In other words, his government speaks through him.
As ambassadors of Christ, our allegiance must be to Him alone. We are entrusted to share His message and not our own opinions. God uses us to convey His message of reconciliation to the world, so they may hear and believe.
Being an ambassador for Christ means we are His messengers. We must strive to deliver His message faithfully, ensuring it remains true to His intent.
Is your allegiance to Christ evident in the way you share His message? How can you better align your words and actions with His purpose
