Verse of The Day: John 15:4 NKJV
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
Remember those early days of faith, when your heart was tender, and your life blossomed with spiritual fruit. It was in surrender to Jesus’ sacrifice and resting in His righteousness that your life first began to bear fruit. Have you drifted? If you feel distant, reflect on those days of new faith and return to the practices that brought you close to Christ, as all fruit flows from abiding in Him. Just as the sun nourishes fruit on the vine, Christ is our source of growth.
The seasons when we are least fruitful often come when we’re distant from Jesus. When we rely on our strength or stray from simple faith and daily prayer, we’re easily distracted by other things, and our fruitfulness diminishes. But we learn through experience that true fruit can only come from staying close to Him. In Jesus alone, we find everything we need to bear fruit that will last. Depend on Him for every blessing, and let His grace renew you daily.
Christ is our source of life and growth, and only by returning to Him can we bear fruit that glorifies God.
