Verse of the Day: Psalm 25:5 NKJV
“Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
When we first begin our journey with God, we often do so with trembling steps, like a child just learning to walk. We naturally ask for His guidance, wanting Him to hold our hand and teach us the basics of His truth. This prayer is all about seeking God’s ongoing instruction. Even someone like David, who knew much about God, recognised his own need for continuous learning. He earnestly sought to remain a student in God's school of grace, asking repeatedly to be taught more.
It’s a lesson for all of us—rather than relying on our own understanding or creating new ideas, we should seek out the tried and true paths of God’s truth, asking the Holy Spirit to guide us with wisdom and humility. If God is the author of our salvation—choosing, atoning, and giving life—surely, He will not withhold His guidance from us. Just as David confidently approached God, trusting Him for salvation, we too can confidently seek God’s continued instruction.
